Parts Specialist

Description:

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated Parts Specialist to provide exceptional service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management with assigned tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, assisting both walk-in and phone customers, accurately handling transactions, maintaining inventory, and performing various in-store services. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service using company programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot

• Greet and assist retail customers courteously and efficiently

• Support managers and installer service specialists as needed

• Complete all assigned company training relevant to the position

• Handle phone inquiries, accurately look up parts, quote prices, recommend products, and offer the Low Price Guarantee

• Manage cash drawer, process payments, and handle returns/exchanges according to company policies

• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally

• Assist with daily store operations, including stocking, fronting/facing, planogram updates, freight handling, and cleaning

• Conduct inventory tasks, including stock adjustments, cycle counts, and merchandise returns

• Operate store equipment such as brake lathes after training and certification

• Perform permitted in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle codes, replace headlights)

• Occasionally make deliveries following company driving eligibility requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

• Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences, provide professional customer service, multitask effectively handling phone and in-store customers

• Desired: Knowledge of automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly index system, ASE certification, fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
