Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist at O’Reilly Auto Parts provides high-quality service to retail and installer customers while supporting store management with operational tasks. This role involves customer interaction, assisting with parts selection, handling phone inquiries, and performing in-store services and operational duties. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist retail and professional customers in a friendly, courteous manner.

• Follow all company customer service programs (e.g., Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).

• Answer customer phone calls accurately, look up parts, quote prices, and recommend products.

• Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions; handle exchanges and returns according to company policies.

• Assist with daily operational tasks, including inventory cycle counts, stock adjustments, planogram updates, and freight handling.

• Operate store test equipment and perform basic automotive services where allowed by law (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes).

• Occasionally drive delivery vehicles when required, meeting company driving eligibility standards.

• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.

Candidate Requirements:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.

• Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.

• Ability to multitask, handling phone and in-store customers simultaneously.

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, or sales is preferred.

• ASE certification is desirable.

• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
